Current Makeup Routine

I have recently received a lot of questions about my makeup routine and how I'm able to create a natural, but full coverage look. So I decided I would share with y'all step-by-step my face makeup routine and all the products I use!

Before I start putting any type of makeup on my face I always make sure to wash and moisturize my face. It is SO important to take care of your skin and to wash your face before you put on makeup and after you go to bed. I hate falling asleep with my makeup on and then waking up the next morning with dull, flaky and even broken out skin.

Now onto the makeup!

1. Foundation
So one thing I don't typically do is prime my skin before foundation. I think a lot of it has to do with not being about the find the right one (and not wanting to spend the money on it). I will sometimes use NYX Angel Veil primer when I know I will have my makeup on for a long time. But anyways... I have been using THIS foundation and it has become my favorite. It is long wearing and works great on any skin type. My mom and I both use it and have completely different skin types, but it works great on the both of us. A little goes a long way with this foundation! I use a damp Beauty Blender  to apply it and bounce it on my face to create a more natural look.

2. Concealer
So disclaimer...I haven't tried may concealers, but I really love Maybelline's Fit Me concealer. It is super creamy and not drying at all. I use a beauty blender to blend it under my eyes, around my nose, on my chin, and in the center of my forehead to brighten the skin! It is also budget friendly so who doesn't love that?!

3. Setting Powder
This is the holy grail of setting powders. I use Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder to bake under my eyes and set any place I put concealer. It is AMAZING for people who have oily skin too because it is a little drying so it helps keep your face matte throughout the day. I apply it with a beauty blender and press it into my skin and let it sit for a couple minutes! Definitely a must-have product for me.

4. Compact Powder
This is a step that I don't do all the time, but I do it enough to think it's important to add into this post.  After setting my concealer I will go in with Clinique's Almost Powder Makeup to set the rest of my skin and dust it on areas where I think needs a little extra powder. I just lightly swirl my brush in the compact and apply it with patting motions on my face. It's also great for keeping in your purse for touch ups!

5. Bronzer
By far one of the best bronzers I have ever used is Benefit's Hula Bronzer. The color is perfect and I use it throughout the entire year. I also contour with it too! At least what I considering "contouring". I apply it to the sides of my nose, cheekbones, and around the top of my forehead.

6. Blush
I have been using this blush for about 6 months and haven't used anything else since. The formula feels really nice and the color is beautiful! I have used high-end blushes and this drug store blush has so far beat them all. I wear the color Luminoso.

7. Set your makeup
After all my face makeup is complete, I dust my entire face with Translucent Setting Powder to set the rest of my makeup and ensure that it will stay all day.

8. Finish
After I finish everything, I spray my face with this spray to finish the look and give my skin a little extra moisturizer. I sometimes spray it on my face before I do my makeup if I feel like my face is a little dry! It is also good to use when you want your eye shadow to stand out more. Just spray it on your brush and then dip it in your eyeshadow!

If there are any other products I should try, please share! :)
