Christmas in the City

Red Sweater (Under $20!!) // Scarf  (Under $10!!) I also love this one!! // Similar Leggings  // Boots (these are great too) // Bag (old)

So this past week I spent four days in New York City with my best friend, Kenzie! This was my second time in NYC and my first time during the holidays, and it was AMAZING. So many buildings were decorated along 5th Avenue with elaborate lights and ornaments, so walking around the city at night felt so magical. I even got to check ice skating in Rockefeller Center off my bucket list! Our first two days there weren't too cold. I wore this red sweater on the second day there, and it was perfect for walking around in the city. I just threw on a scarf and jacket and it felt perfect! It's also under $20 and so so comfy! I also highly recommend these OTK boots by Marc Fisher. I spent the whole day walking around in these and never once complained about my feet hurting (which is huge for me). Mine are also marked down for under $100!

In other news...Christmas is a week away! Aren't y'all excited?! My family has a tradition where we go to the mall and buy a gift for the Angel Tree then have dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. We went today!

I hope everyone has a great week getting all that last minute shopping done ;)

My Favorite Oversized Sweater

Top: BP. Sweater // Purse: similar bag here and here (both 30% off!!) //
Jeans: these are under $20! Want these // Shoes (old): LOVE these pumps here and here

There's nothing I love more than wearing an oversized sweater during the fall and winter months. I love pairing them with a pair of leggings when I want to be comfy (basically everyday) or a pair of jeans for when I want to dress them up. This sweater is my favorite go-to sweater this year! It comes in a few different color AND it's under $40! I ordered a small so it fits pretty true to size.

This week starts finals week and I'm already dreading all the studying that's about to take over my life. I can't believe the semester is already ending! Where has time gone?! One thing I have to look forward to after all my exams is my trip to NYC with my best friend, Kenzie! It will be an awesome reward to all our hard work in school.

Have a great week, y'all!

Thanksgiving Break Outfit

Sweater (old) love this one here // Scarf and similar one here (on sale!!) // Booties // Bag
Jeans (old) same fit here

Happy FriYAY y'all! This week has been one of the most stressful weeks of the semester. It's been full of projects, papers, working, and trying to find time to fit in some Netflix ;) After the week I've had, I am REALLY REALLY ready for Thanksgiving break. I love being able to come home for a couple days and hangout with my family and eat some yummy food. This oversized sweater look is perfect for Thanksgiving because you can eat as much as you want, and no one will notice! My bracelet I'm wearing is from Go Girl Designs and it's a bracelet/hair tie holder in one! I love it for busy days because it hides my hair tie until I'm ready to put my hair up. It would also make a great stocking stuffer! I've had this scarf for a couple of years now, and it has become a holiday staple. It's perfect for cool weather or dressing up a simple look.
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving, and safe travels to those of you heading home next week to be with family.

Fall Lace-Ups

Top: similar here and here // Skirt: TJ Maxx similar here // Purse: Crossbody Bag // Shoes: Lace-up Heels
Y'AALLLLL, I'm dying over this outfit. It's so edgy and chic, and kinda out of my comfort zone, but that's why I love it! Lace-up everything is a huge trend right now and so is suede, so I love how this look shares the both of them. Normally shopping at Forever 21 gives me a serious headache, but lately I've been finding so many things I like online, including this top! When I saw it, I knew it was a must-have. They no longer carry this top in black, but they carry it in 3 other colors that I've linked here

Today has definitely been a "Monday" and has me craving the weekend all over again! It's been filled with class, homework, homework, homework, and registering for my last semester of college (YIKES!).
Planning for a weekend trip to Nashville to visit my bestie Kenzie isn't making these Monday blues or weekend cravings any easier!

Have a great week and thanks for reading!

Finally Fall Sweater

Similar sweater here and here // Jeans // Block Heel Booties // Tory Burch Tote

Fall is finally here! So you'll most likely be finding me in a sweater with a PSL in hand at all times. This sweater from Sun and Shadow is perfect for transitioning into cooler weather. It's so comfy and looks best paired with your favorite skinnies! If you're looking for a new pair of booties I HIGHLY recommend these!! They are my favorite pair of booties that I've ever owned and the block heel adds the perfect amount of height.

I would also like to give my BFF Hannah a shoutout for helping me out with this post and being the best photographer a girl could have :)

VSX Outfit Review + Workout

Sooo this post is a little different from my previous blog posts! I am reviewing this workout outfit that is all from Victoria's Secret! As many of you know, VS is no longer doing a swimwear line (sad) and is now focusing on their athletic wear. Since I'm a sucker for good athletic wear, I wanted to put their stuff to the test! I have worn this outfit during cardio and weight training, so I think I have a pretty good feel on how they perform. So let's get started!

First, I'm going to start with my Knockout by Victoria's Secret Capri! The first thing I like about this pant is the high waist band. It stays up during my entire workout while also holding everything in ;) I also really love how they look on and the bright pattern! Look good, feel good right? The only thing I was disappointed in was the material was not as breathable as the Nike Dri-Fit workout pants, even though they are around the same price. So I found myself getting hot a lot quicker in these than in Dri-Fit pants. This particular pattern is no longer online but I did recently see it in my VS store!

Now onto the top! I'm in love with this logo tank from VS. Plus, it's UNDER $20!! Totally worth it. It's made with their body-wick material that keeps you cool and dry during your workout. I've worn this top while running errands and working out, so I think it's a great top to add to your collection! They also have fun sayings on the front and who doesn't like that?!

Last, but certainly not least, is the Strappy Mesh-trim Sport Bra. This sports bra has such a cute strappy back and won't break the bank like a lot of fun sports bras out there! It's a minimum support bra, so definitely not made for high intense cardio, but it's perfect for weight training, barre or just running errands! It comes in a lot of different colors and is perfect for days where you just don't feel like wearing a bra (which is like everyday haha)!

Here's my favorite "Oh. My. Quad." workout moves!

Smith Machine:
  • Regular squats
  • Wide leg squats
  • Curtsy lung
  • Single-leg squats
Kettlebell:
  • Single-leg dead lifts
  • Normal deadlifts
  • Kettlebell swings
Favorite leg machines:
  • Leg Press: Single and double leg
  • Seated leg curls

Labor Day Weekend with Anthropologie

T-shirt dress (old) // Similar Heels here and here(under $20) //  Crossbody Bag

I'm definitely not looking forward to Labor Day weekend coming to an end... I've loved having time away from school since the first couple weeks back were a little overwhelming for me. So I'm making the most of these last two days of freedom! This T-shirt dress from Anthropolgie is perfect for those last minute Labor Day plans! I bought it last year when I was in L.A. and it is seriously so comfy and cute. The tie in the front adds a little extra to the dress I think. I decided to dress it up with lace up heels because I think it makes the look a little more edgy, but you could always pair it with cute of sandals or sneakers!

Since I bought this dress last summer, it's no longer in stores. BUT! Anthropologie has a few similar ones that are on sale linked herehere and here

I hope everyone has had a great Labor Day Weekend!

Lace and Fringe Top

Topshop lace trim top (sold out) similar here  and here  // White Skinny Jeans // Sandals // Kate Spade bag is old similar here

Warm weather is still going strong in Tennessee, so I'm showing off one of my favorite tops I bought this summer to help me beat the heat! I've paired this top with blue jean shorts and a skirt, but I think it pops with some white skinny jeans. These fun, blue tassel earrings are from H&M's summer line and add the perfect amount of color to any look. A simple black tank and white jeans can go a long way when you pair it with fun accessories!

So fun story! I was an extra in the movie Dog Years this summer (should be out by December) and I wore this exact top an tassel earrings! Now whenever I wear this tank I always have a fun memory to go with it.

Chambray and Tassels

So this is my first blog post and I'm so excited to share with y'all one of my favorite looks! Off the shoulder tops could possibly be one of the best trends right now, and this chambray top is one of my favorite summer pieces. These tassel earrings are also to. die. for. Seriously! I'm in love with them, and when I saw that they were only $20 I had to snag them. This outfit is perfect for date nights with bae or going out with the girls!

This is an exciting post because it is my first post on For the Love of Fun Blog! I'm excited to share some of my favorite looks with y'all!
